Routes in Detail
We are in Sengokuhara, on the north-west side of Hakone at around 700 metres. It lies beyond the pass from Hakone-Yumoto, which can sound far — yet a single highway bus from Shinjuku brings you almost to our door.
RECOMMENDED
Direct highway bus from Shinjuku
From Busta Shinjuku, take the Odakyu Hakone Highway Bus and alight at Hakone Sengoku Information Centre. The ride takes 2 hours 12 minutes; the fare is ¥2,490 for adults and ¥1,250 for children. No transfers, no stairs with your luggage. Seats are reserved, so please book once your dates are set.
By train and bus
Take the Odakyu Romancecar from Shinjuku to Hakone-Yumoto — all seats reserved, so you can settle in and watch the landscape (the limited-express supplement for Shinjuku–Hakone-Yumoto is ¥1,150 with a ticketless booking, plus the basic fare). At Hakone-Yumoto change to Hakone Tozan Bus Line T bound for Togendai; the Sengoku stop is about 24 minutes away.
From Haneda Airport or Yokohama
Highway buses run from Haneda Airport and Yokohama Station (YCAT) to Gotemba Station — roughly 130–145 minutes, ¥2,800 from Haneda and ¥2,300 from Yokohama. Change to a local bus at Gotemba. Please note that since the timetable revision of 1 April 2026 this line terminates at Gotemba; the Gotemba–Hakone Togendai section is suspended.
By car
From Gotemba IC on the Tomei Expressway, head south on Route 138 over the Otome Pass — about 25 minutes. It is a shorter mountain drive than Hakone's other approaches and easy going for less confident drivers. Set our address in your navigation. Parking is free but not on the grounds — it is a short walk from the inn, marked in red on the map below. Please tell us in advance if you are driving.

Whether you are walking from the bus stop or have lost your way, message us on LINE. Send your location and we will guide you from there. If your arrival time shifts, a quick word lets us adjust the bath and dinner to suit.
